Every so often they run something called big tales day out which is a combination of different workshops. it runs from 2:30pm-5pm so it’s a pretty long afternoon for the little ones. we’d seen some nice weather in may so we were quite excited to be going on the 23rd of may and were hoping the finale would be out in their amphitheatre. but of course, living in the uk, you can never really. Chickenshed runs children's and youth theatre workshops for 600 people, education courses for over 100 students, community outreach projects and a network of satellite 'sheds' across the country (and one in russia) so even more can benefit. every extraordinary piece of theatre created at chickenshed shouts out the same thing: anyone can thrive. Throwing even more fun into the mix, chickenshed will also host tales big day out (20 and 21 april), a chance for all the family to get together and see both new and much-loved routines from the southgate venue’s popular interactive children’s show tales from the shed and take part in creative activities at the festival’s many exciting.
